Future SLOW events

Helpers required!

Orienteering is a sport run by volunteers, and we encourage all club members to get involved in helping out as often as possible when SLOW puts on events.  All the events below where the main event helpers are listed as “required” means that we still need people to fill these roles.  Please volunteer for them – if we don’t get people to help, the events won’t take place!  Even if you have never carried out a planning/organising role before, plenty of help and assistance will be available to you from more experienced club members – please don’t be afraid to offer your services.  If you would be interested to help for any of the key event roles listed below, please contact the club fixtures secretary Andy Robinson (fixtures @ sloweb.org.uk) in the first instance.

Helpers are also required on the day for all SLOW events – please volunteer to the event organiser before the event (e-mail addresses appear in the links in the table below).  Helpers will always get a chance to compete in the race before or after helping.

Street-O events – Organisers are always needed to host the evening street events which take place on Tuesday evenings during the winter/spring months.  Please contact Ollie O'Brien (
webmaster @ sloweb.org.uk) to volunteer for hosting these events.
